Our baby in action at the recently concluded Solihull Society Moab LR National Rally (photos). Makes you want to go get dirty, doesn't it? |

Fantastic pics, Umberto.... thanks for posting! Whereabouts was that? Is the Moab a desert (the name vaguely rings a bell).

Moab, Utah (US). Land Rover has a LR Experience event at this national park every year. It looks like an amazing place... Here is a short video (a bit shaky, it's a handheld digicam) of this same Sport climbing the very, very, very, very steep Lion's Back: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1...&hl=en

BTW, since a few people have been asking me via PM, those are 18" rims and the tyres are Nitto Terra Grappler sized 285/60R18. Everything else is "stock" G4 equipment. Including the front skidplate which, I am told, needs to be removed whenever an oil / oil filter change is required. How stupid is that??? |

Moab is a mountain biker's mecca. A big part of the experience is riding the smooth rock. Adhesion is remarkable, even when traversing on a steep slope of this rock. So I'm not surprised this climb is possible. Have not ridden Moab myself (on the list...) but have many friends who have and do regularly. Moab is a desert..not much risk of rain...and if it does rain, you don't want to be out there. 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE, Java/Ebony/Cherry, Privacy, Sunroof, PTI, Premium Sound, SatNav, Cold Climate, Tow kit, CarStyle coded grill and vents, Tasmods, Stormers, JE Exhaust, Autobiography badge |
