Faulty External Temperature Readings

Hi, has anyone had issues with external temperature readings of -40C and other very low temperatures when it is normal temperatures outside? My RRS (2016) has been doing this for a few months now and is going in for its third fix. Still not right. I have seen this issue on Disco and Evoque forums, but not RRS. The fault affects the engine management and climate control, so it is more than just a niggle. Sorry if there are loads of threads on this and I haven't found them!

Not with LR, but Jags had this issue and the cause was the temperature sensor, which was relatively cheap to replace. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.
