Brake light bulbs

Checked the brake light bulbs yesterday and has different makes fitted, so replaced with genuine land rover bulbs, could this have been the problem with loss of transmission fault errors on dash, looked at the posts from the past and have seen many saying could be brake light bulbs, seams hard to believe this could cause transmission errors, the brake light switch has been changed last year also.

Brake light bulbs can cause faults if they are faulty - replace them with LED globes and problems go away. 07MY RRS TDV6

I had a brake bulb go, fitted a cheapo bulb from the local shop. I had no end of gearbox anomalies. I read on here about the bulbs so purchased a branded bulb and all the faults disappeared = bizarre.

Brake light bulbs and the brake pedal switch are a good and cheap starting point. I Had ESF warning on my old D3, put genuine LR bulbs in and it didn't come back in the 7 years I had it. Theses are not normal cars.
