They are saying it’s either 5 years or 50,000 miles, but when I bought the car it had 52,000ish miles.Hatfields wanted £550 for service which I told them not to bother as I’ll do it myself, they said as long as I use Landrover approved parts the warranty still stands so I’ll service it myself next week at a cost of about £100. Andy.

While I was there I took a brand new Discovery sport R dynamic out & it was a BIG improvement over the old one & I like the idea the have gone to a stick for the gear shift as opposed to the old knob you just turn.

Did they say they'd contacted the service plan people about the over mileage? I was booking in my wife's Evoque for her 5 year/last service so they asked the mileage which I guessed at over 51,000 and would rise before the service. They said it was over the limit but they'd speak to the service plan poeple, then emailed me saying everything was ok and would be covered. As it was it was my RRS with that mileage, her Evoque was 48000 at service time.

I could call them back but I might as well just do it myself & use the LR approved parts which I can get from a local company. Andy.

Not had direct relations with them except for asking for the service history and details of a replacement engine they fitted to my car under warranty prior to my ownership. They kept quoting data protection etc. All I wanted was some form of evidence, it took 10 minutes for me to convince them to give me just the work order number for the service history book.

I’ve got the service history online which is all in order but their was one service left on the 5 year service plan & the salesman told me their was one left when I bought the car in March with 52000ish miles left,he should have known about the mileage cap being 50000.I wouldn’t trust another salesman at all in the future. Andy.

I had this with mine, they sold it to me saying it had an 80k cap, rather than 50. I queried it and even the provider said it was 50k. They assured me that they would just put it through as service pack and that would be that. I had it done in May with 52k and true to their word it went through fine?

Andy as hoppy above says get them to do it after you’ve checked. It’s an inconvenience for them, don’t take the easy route and do it yourself as it’s another customer who’ve been fobbed off and they can get back to doing profitable oil changes.
