Replacement air spring/damper quality?

I'm looking at replacing all four air springs and dampers, as my 2.7 has over 130K now, and I expect that they are past their best.
Looking at various suppliers (for example Rimmer Bros) there seem to be a big difference between the OEM version and the genuine LR part, ie £216 / £535 Shocked (for mine which doesn't have the ACE).

Is there really that much of a difference in quality ?

Anyone done this recently that can recommend some ?

Cheers.

Depends on what they mean by OEM. The originals were made by Delphi. The Delphi shock business was aquired by BWI in 2009.

If the OEM product is a BWI then it should be identical to the genuine Land Rover part, except for the box it comes in.

Was your price comparison on a LR041108? Paul Redding

Yes. The OEM one is LR041108P1, at less than half price. Do you know if these are Delpi?

This one is a BWI @ £210.11, the company that aquired Delphi (the shock absorbers part). Paul Redding

Great, thanks for that. I didn't want to put some lower spec "equivalent" one on. Thumbs Up

I replaced all of my struts with Dunlop units. They transformed the ride and I can 100% recommend them.

I bought from John Craddock online:

£150+VAT for the rears Kev
