Why not a small bit of checker plate roughly number plate sized cut to fit and pop-riveted to the bumper? I would have suggested something like THESE for quick removal of the plate when needed. Might be a bit more practical than the flipper, which in a tow situation might get broken. |

Flipper looks good, remember & post a video when you have it fitted. I'm sure no one would use it when approaching cameras |

There's no 'tongue-in-cheek' emoticon to go with the 'concours' comment.

I picked-up some good winch-blankets from eBay - lots of velcro and pockets to add some extra mass. For about four decades we winched boats up the beach on 300 m of steel cable - only twice did it 'let go' and it was quite 'educational'.

I knew there was another photo. First pass at grounding it. Copper a bit too thick as the nuts don't have threads to the end. Bolt needs brazing...

First method for gaining access to the winch is Lindab's suggestion, wired into the switch that activates the 500A isolation relay. It is allegedly IP67, but time will tell. Needs a bit of a tweak or two.
