Removing front seats

Hi guys,

I could do with removing my front seats as I'd like to remove (and replace) the existing headrest dvd screens that are installed.

How do I go about removing the seats in a MY10 ?

they are very heavy! and not easy to lift back in.

You should be able to do this job while in the car
Tilting the backrest backwards

If you can, do as stated above.

If not, you need to pop the cover off the seat belt anchor point on the seat, position the seat by moving the switches until you can get to the Torx bolt and remove it.

Now pop the covers off each foot (they can be fun).

Remove the 5 mounting Torx bolts.

Motor the seat so that the base is central over the frame and fold the seat back as far forward as it will go and motor the seat base fully up (the aim here is to make the seat as compact as possible).

Pop the front seat trim off (just 4 clips)

Now disconnect battery and leave for 10 minutes

Unscrew the seat connector block stud.

Tape a thick sheet over your door card, sill and back door and lift the seat out.

You can change some of the order but you need to move the seat back and forth for access to bolts etc. So disconnecting the battery ends up being late on. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

thanks for the replies chaps... I'll try and do it with seats in the car... by the sounds of it removing the seats might be more hassle than it's worth.
