TDv8 Dipstick blowing out?

Hi All,

Looking at an advert for a 2010 TDv8 RRS with good history and just under 200,000K's on (124,000 miles) but the owner is selling it as traded with an intermittent dipstick blowing out fault.

I'm presuming this would be under load and when the turbos are boosting. PCV valve issue maybe? Or could it something more sinister and potentially more $$$$.

Advert is here - https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars...832af5-002

It's in budget and very attractive but I can't afford to buy it and then dump another $12K on a new engine.

Cheers,

Matt

I don’t know enough about them but it sounds like an over pressurised crank case so blocked breather as you say or head gasket/crack? DMs your man. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

New Zealand 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Santorini Black

Sorry no help either, obviously as you've said the PCV could be part of it.

As for pricing being an NZ new it is de-spec from a proper HSE. Looks like it is reasonably kitted out but minus paddle shifters, probably radar cruise and FBH. If you got it under $20k that way if you needed another engine it would be back to correct value for NZ I reckon.

Looks nice otherwise. 2010 RRS TDV8 181000km

There's likely a good reason it's sold as trade, if it was only the pcv the seller would fix and get a whole lot more cash for the car,
but hey that's me and my suspicious mind Confused
