Any local owners (Northampton) fancy a coffee...

OK, the title was going to be longer.

So I've had the RRS for a few months now and so far I haven't really "gelled" with it; I'm not sure if that's because the front tyre goes down every couple of days (which I really must get sorted), because it really needs new suspension bushes (which I went into the purchase knowing) or because I'm petrified that it's going to grenade itself every time I drive it Embarassed

Anyone local fancy a coffee and a drive of my car? Someone whose owned one for a while and can tell me if "that noise is normal", really Laughing

I did test drive quite a few before buying, but you know what test drives can be like - the dealer is doing his level best to talk over any noises and convince you that this is the best car you've ever sat in Wink (including the dealer who hoped I hadn't noticed that the centre console came away in his hand when he took the handbrake off, and proclaimed "You can tell this one has been looked after!", or the dealer who did his level best to convince me that the car would be no trouble even though the handbrake had just let out a screaming noise and thrown up a dash full of fault codes Laughing - I walked from those, oddly enough!).

Anyway .. there's this odd (to me) noise driving around town that makes me clench buttocks and think the transfer box is unhappy - but maybe it's normal and/or just shoddy tyres.. and maybe if my mind were at ease I'd get on with it a bit better and not still be pining over my old pickup Wink

Any takers?

I'll be standing by the bus stop with a red rose in my lapel, etc etc Laughing 2014 BMW 530d Touring, 2006 BMW 650i, 2018 Mini Cooper S

Whilst I'm a bit far from you for a coffee (unless you fancy a trip to the seaside), if I had to make one recommendation, it would be to start working through and fixing the problems you are aware of.

Don't let them fester, otherwise you will never gel with it and the list will just get longer Wink Kev

You are probably a bit far, aye - although I did drive all the way to Pompey to look at a 2008 TDV8.. came back via Box Hill to look at another - that was a long day!

And you're right - I really do need to find the time to start on the list; time is always the thing in short supply around here, sadly! 2014 BMW 530d Touring, 2006 BMW 650i, 2018 Mini Cooper S

I'm just over an hour away from Northampton, but occasionally venture to the Brackmills estate for work. Nothing in the diary for the foreseeable but will keep you in mind if I'm over that way again- always fancied another wonder around Dove House Cars too, they have some awesome motors there!
PS Had my RRS for nearly 4 years now, doesn't time fly when you're burning money! Wink You can't see the eyes of the demon until him come callin'
