Yellow trim clips in door - Removal

What's the received wisdom on the best way to remove the yellow clips from the doors? Tenacious little things are resisting all attempts other than getting a knife blade under the edge....

Thanks,

Hugh

you do seam to have to break them into peices to remove them!

But if they are intact there is no need to remove them ?? ? ? Confused

Don't bother, just break them off, can be removed but usually damages them and can't re-use them anyway, as they are only a few pence each to buy not worth the aggravation of trying to remove them.

Cheers

Even the 'trim removing tools' don't seem to be sharp enough to get under the edges. Melting the centre with a diamond bur in a Dremel seemed to work.

I've removed these with a pair of pincers previously. However, they did snap on the inside. Kev

That's how I started, Kev. The possibility of an eternally-rattling door made me think twice. Smile

they eventually make their way to the drain holes.

If you carry some needle nose plyers with you, you can get them out when you see them Laughing

Maybe try one of these tools, it's a Sykes Pickavant 045900, I've had it years and it's very robust. 2016 L494 SDV8 AB

In the end, I melted the core with a Dremel and got the blade of a Swiss army knife under the edge.
