"fixing the f-ing thing" is not always something that can be done right away. If the OP could "fix the F-ing thing" he would do it and not post here. We're offering temporary solutions to help offest the urgency. De-articulating rear sway bars are "F-ing" expensive so chill. |

Out of interest, given this is for power steering systems, what protocol did you use for it? Ordid you just dump a load into the Dynamic Response reservoir and hope for the best? 2012 RRS Autobiography Sport SDV6 Orkney Grey |

Yup, I just put it into the resevoir and filled it to the specified line. I checked it every day and topped it off. The first day it still leaked but as I kept topping it off it leaked less and less. By the fifth day it stopped leaking so i went through the off road settings and de-articulated the sway bar went over a curb carefully about 5 times and then parked it in my garage. The next morning i checked underneath and no leak. This bought me 4 months to save up for the repair and all has been good since. My leak was very small and slow so try it. If it doesn't work it doesn't work but at least you tried. And for the record, the fluid in the resevoir IS power steering fluid and once it gets to the shop for the real repair it won't matter anyway because they will flush the fluid out. Make sure you ask them to flush it though in case they, you know, "forget". |
