Which engine oil is best for the sdv6 3.0 diesel

Evening all,
As per title looking for the correct engine oil, searching online just getting me more confused, am aware it’s castrol 5w 30 but can’t find the correct one.
Is shell and Mobil oil as good as castrol?

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks
J

As above, and assuming you have a DPF as you have SDV6: 5w30 ACEA C1 spec, meeting Ford WSS-M2C934-B

Whether it's manufactured by Shell, Castrol, Mobil is irrelevant. If it meets the technical spec, it meets the technical spec. Kev

Been trying to hunt some oil today 5w30 C1, went to almost every motor shop around me, no one seems to stock the 5w30 c1 grade, Halfords, euro car parts , local motoring shops etc..

Have found some online which delivery takes a day or two, as needed it for tomorrow.
Where does everyone else buy there oil? Or is it a trip to the stealers...

Thanks

Have used this. As said, personal choice..and there is much discussion on branding and marketing of the so called high end motor oils.
Personally I change it at 6k, so 20L drum at that price will suit me just fine.
5litres also available tho'
20 lites

Which is best? The one in the book.
Which is best for price? Whichever matches the book for least money. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
