Hi guys and girls
I have been modding a RRsport 2.7 TDV 6 and it dropped to 0 Range on the fuel gauge and I think it has run out of fuel as it cut out whilst ticking over I have put in 10 litres of diesel and turn the ignition on and off 5 to 6 times to prime the system after cranking it over a few times it fired up and was reving but cut out again when it dropped on to tick over and now will not start , I have replaced the fuel pump cut off relay but still nothing I have removed the hose pipe clip off the fuel feed pipe and gently pushed the pipe back and I have got a fuel coming out ( not removed the pipe completely) my next move is to check the fuel pressure to the delivery system, I just need to check if the valve at the back of the motor ( the schrader valve ) is the fuel pressure valve and if any of you have had this problem before if yes how did you cure it.

Yeah that valve is for fuel.

Maybe time for a new
Fuel filter and a lot more fuel ?

Check fuel is coming out the tank

Thought it kept some in the tank even with the range at zero ? Have a couple of times been down to 1 or 2 miles left (which with my mpg is probably not even 50ml diesel) with no issues ?

I had the same "run out of fuel " problem this week (Mrs don't know what a fuel guage is)...

battery was flat from trying to turn over...
remedy::
I put 10 litres of fuel in, remove engine cover and at the back of the engine is what looks like a tyre valve, I pressed this to release fuel, then with a jumper pack, fired it up... took a couple of turns... and whippie….. away we go.

Would point out, I charged the battery to full, but still not enough power hence the jumper pack...
