I think that with the slowdown in car sales across the UK and The rest of the world dealerships are cutting their profit margins to weather the lean times.

Let’s hope that manufacturers cut their profit margins so that cars become more affordable, especially in the JLR corner.

This is on at all landrover dealerships i would assume as its on the main landrover website for anyone who is looking to buy.

That said what is on offer is not really a deal.

Pretty well the same deal was available in mid-June when I ordered my car, RRS P400 HSE, so if you're buying keep pushing.

RRS sold and replaced with a Skoda Kodiaq after appalling RR Dealer experience and LR inability to supply new cars in any sort of reasonable time frame..

Hi Tim. That the mild hybrid right ? Assume you test drove. What did you think of the engine ?

No, the P400 is the 3 litre petrol engine. I tried the hybrid but decided it wasn't for me and my driving style. Whilst I do a few short journeys I do quite a few longer ones where I would end up relying on just the petrol engine. So I thought I would give a 400bhp petrol engine a try.

Hi Tim. Ok yes this is the mild hybrid 400 Hp 3.0 engine. I had a quick test drive and thought it was brilliant. Powerful and quick and lovely noise. Just interested in a second opinion ! What have you been driving to compare it with ? I have the 4.0 diesel at the moment and though it was much better

Cheers Rowdie

Rowdie

Present RRS is a 3.0litre diesel. Nothing really wrong with the diesel but my preference is for petrol engines, hence the change. For powerful, quick and a lovely noise my other daily driver is an Alpine 110 although it doesn't quite have the load capacity of rge RRS Laughing
