United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black
Different size wheels nuts.

Hi.

I'm hoping someone has had this before (or is just more clued up on it than I am). I have a 2007 Range Rover Sport. I was given a set of wheels off of what I believe is a later model (I'll attach a photo)

I tried to fit them today and they went on fine but the nuts which are currently on the car are too wide to fit in the new wheels....

Is this normal on later model wheels on an older car? If it is... does anyone know what the ones I do require are called?

Sorry if this is a silly question... but I always find forums are the best way to get information even if I have to look like a donut.

Thanks in advance! Rob

New Zealand 2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Autobiography Santorini Black

If both sets of wheels are genuine L/R and from a Sport the wheel nuts should fit as they are the same nuts from 2005 through to 2013 and at least the earlier RRS2 had the same as well, although part numbers have changed they supersede to the same number. The 2002-2009 Fullfat did use a nut with a smaller shank though.
Might be worth posting a picture of the wheel nut you have.

Cheers
Col

Ive got the same wheels I had on my RRS1 now fitted to a 2015 RRS2,the only time I’ve come across different nuts was a friends who had aftermarket alloys & they were smaller nuts & the holes in the wheels were smaller. Andy.

I'm guessing there going to be after market/ replica ones. A friend suggested a local motor factors, so I'll give them a try tomorrow.

Hi,
worth checking their rating as well if aftermarket wheels Question
and
may be wise to tell your insurance if you do fit them as they would be a "modification"

Thanks for the replys everyone! I managed to get some nuts from a local wheel place who told me that the ones he gave me are the standard land rover ones.... which means the ones on the car when I bought it were not correct..... I dont know enough about wheels to argue.... as long as they fit and they have tread I'm happy!

Onto my next problem in another thread now Big Cry
