Restricted performance conundrum

I’m experiencing restricted performance occasionally.

It only seems to happen when the engine is cold and climbing a slight gradient about 1 kilometre after leaving home.

My IID tool doesn’t always pick up a code, but when it does, it’s the P006A MAP correlation.

I’m gonna make a smoke machine and see if there’s any leaks in the air system, but thought I’d ask if anyone else has experienced this, as it’s odd it only happens when cold.

I’ve recently renewed both air inlet manifolds, so hopefully they’re still ok, but did notice some oily smeg around the throttle body Y piece dooberry, suggesting maybe a leak here. Air filter is new and MAP sensor is clean.

Any pointers appreciated. Is the Y piece extraction fairly easy surgery?

I’ve just ragged the bejesus out of it and no restricted performance. However, this morning when it was cold, the alarm appeared Less is more, more or less

Thanks for that Hog.

Spent a bit of time on it today and there’s a slight leak from the O ring on the inlet to the throttle body.

Also, the secondary turbo vent hose is snapped.

Is the hose “special” or can it be found at a motor factors?

Welcome! I don't feel that vent hose is special, but I would not take any riskwith these cars. Go for OEM. RRS 3.0 SDV6 HSE Lux
