Simple question
What foam pad is recommended for applying wax with a rotary polisher.
I've looked at Detailing World......far to complex for me, all I want to do is wax the car with AutoGlym HD wax or Poor Boys Natty Paste Wax.

Finally is there a recommend pad for polishing off ? In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

Have you used a rotary polisher before because if not you can soon damage the paint,me myself I’ve got a Meguires Saul action so not to damage the paint,,well not as easily anyway.Ive got this pad for finishing.

I have a meguiars DA polisher also,, supposed to be one of the more user friendly one's,,, they reckon the only way you can damage the paint is to throw the machine at the car!.
Meguiars pads are coloured as to there use,,, maroon pads are for heavy cutting/ paint correction, yellow can be used with Polish as a lighter cut and the black pads are for finishing with either Polish or wax. Put the wax on with a slower speed setting than you would with cutting compound or Polish,,, only use a small amount of product on the pad,,, a few pea sized drops is normally enough to do a panel. 2010 RRS, TDV8

If it’s just wax your applying I would do it by hand,apply with a wax applicator & remove with a good microfibre cloth. Andy.

Hi,
I watched one of the Swissvax Utube clips for applying their Crystal Rock
all done by Hand no cloths or pads

mind you when I saw the price theres no wonder, I would be crying as I cuddled the car

Don’t keep polishing it as it will eventually remove the clear coat,once it’s been polished it just needs topping up with wax every 6 month.Its easier to put a coat of wax on it than it is to polish it. Andy.

i've always DA machine polished and then applied wax/last stage products by hand, so i can thinly apply it and make sure all the panels are evenly covered, and less risk of reintroducing marks on the paint

I did buy some Dodo Juice Supernatrual once and that was a machine polish stick of it, and i used a ultra soft pad, with no cutting power at all and found it easier by hand in the end
