Scotland 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Santorini Black

Have nothing against VW as have owned a few in the past but that is one ugly looking front on that car. Almost as ugly as the disastorous rear on a disco 5 😁

Australia 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Santorini Black

I had the pleasure of a 2013 TDV6 Toureg a few years ago which I was detailing for a friend over a few weeks. He was a surfie and liked to take it off-road and down to the beach quite often which it did well (thats why it took a few weeks to clean).

It was generally better built than a RRS, but the front door sag was horrendous on both front doors. You had to slam the doors visciouslly to close the.m The official VW fix was to remove the dash to replace the hinges. A quick fix was to place spacers between the doors and the hinges.

Strike one - door sag.
Strike two - diesel gate (can't trust the bar stewards).

I had to charge the battery because it ran flat. I could not find where the battery was hidden, but eventally found that you had to remove the front passenger seat to get access to it. (who in their right mind places the battery under a seat which is bolted down - especially on a 4 wheel drive).

Strike three - battery location.

Then there was the driving, while competant it wasnt a patch on the RRS. I would some it up as a bit boring.

How about we just agree that the good guys drive a RRS and everyone else drives pretenders.

That’s an interesting challenge. Is that limited to cars currently in production? A Fatty owner, just dropping by Smile

The disco 5 is ok looking until the rear. It's like they'd taken a while on the rest and then just gone " Censored it, it's beer o'clock time on payday Friday, that'll do." Whoever signed that off should've gone to specsavers.

I have owned two V10 Touaregs and trhought they were both great vehicles. Door sag was never an issue. The Tregs I owned were far superior than the L322 Range Rover Sport in every aspect IMO.

Why did I buy the Current RRS? Well I wanted a true 4 x 4 and a real spare tyre. Also wanted similar performance to what I had owned. I think the Current RRS is better than what I had and is better than current if just considering 4WD. The Touareg has better ICE , Better Dust sealing by far , and better performance. It is however smaller inside and still no spare which means my sphincter wraps every time I go bush.

For those who never use 4WD the Treg V8 would be a very good choice. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.
