New L494 Owner - few questions

Just picked up my 2017 RRS Autobiography Dynamic, and have a few questions:

1) Is there no Auto Hold function? Couldn't see it anywhere, and unbelievable they dont have it given all the other tech!

2) According to the spec, I should have 360 cameras, I can see the wing mirror cameras, but nothing on the menus to activate the birds eye view, what should I be looking for?

3) When locking the car, how many times should you press the recess, once or twice, as second press seems to initiate a beep.

4) Can you make calls via the multi function steering wheel, again, this didn't seem obvious.

5) Is there any way of seeing the build sheet/spec sheet to see exactly what it has?

Only driven around 20 miles so far, but it's a beautiful car, absolutely gorgeous to drive and a real nice seating position.

So far so good!

Firstly, congratulations! Get some pics up Thumbs Up

I'll answer what I can:

1. Nope - was very frustrating coming from my A7 which had it. Used to it now - I just pull up the electronic handbrake when I come to a stop. Don't actually think about it anymore!

2. Don't know

3. Once activates the perimeter/exterior alarm, twice then activates the interior alarm.

4. Yes, just push the telephone icon on the left hand button cluster. Or you can use voice activation, but I found it painful compared to my A7 so just use the buttons!

5. Yes - sign up with your VIN here: https://topix.jaguar.jlrext.com/topix/vehicle/lookupForm MY16 RRS 3.0 SDV6 HSE Dynamic

I did the Topix sign up, but can't find any details on the car? It recognises the car, but i cant see any info on it?

Can the phone menu be brought up in the central display?

Cheers for the info.

Answer for question 2 is,what you are looking at on the mirrors isn’t a camera it is for in the dark,it shines on the floor saying Autobiography.

Why would you want auto-hold? It's got a proper torque convertor and it creeps forward with feet off the pedals, which is good! Auto-hold is for those dual-clutch things isn't it?

You can call from buttons on the steering wheel and even press a button then say "Call Bob".

Press the button twice to deadlock it. RRS MY17 SDV6 AB

Hi Concept,
you may have to zoom out the browser for the 'View all vehicle details' link to display in Topix.

Auto hold works fine on mine, on both uphill and downhill slopes. MY15.5 SDV6 HSE Dynamic without the H . Yulong White

Auto hold, found in most German cars I've owned/been in, means that when you come to a stop, say for traffic lights/roundabouts/traffic/whatever, the car automatically applies the EPB so you don't have to keep your foot on the brake.

It was one of my main gripes coming into the RRS from an A7 - I couldn't believe it didn't have it! MY16 RRS 3.0 SDV6 HSE Dynamic
