Hi,it all depends on where you live as they vary that much,as for gap,ive just taken it out on mine & Axa was who im with as they are the only one who covers on trader policy, they will pay back to invoice over 1-2 or 3 years. Andy.

If your insurance doesn't ask for a tracker then I wouldn't bother with one,if your taking gap ins out, would you want the car back if it was stolen,i know I don't if mine goes. Andy.

But will that work? Surely the GAP company will not want to make up the shortfall on an under insured car? 2023 P440e SE Dynamic on order -cancelled 2022 HSE Dynamic P400e 2017 Discovery 3.0 HSE Silicon Silver Nimbus interior and a few extra toys SOLD 2013 HSE Black, Orkney Grey, Ebony Seats and Ivory Interior SOLD 2006 HSE Plus a few other cars inbetween! |

The gap makes the difference up,so you pay 75k on invoice & insurance say only pay 60k for car the gap will then pay the 15k difference. But when making a claim at no time tell your insurance you have gap or they will try giving you less. Andy.

Sure, but I thought that he was implying that he would insure for £75k but the car could be costing a lot more?

Gap will want to see the invoice & not one from your mate on a piece of paper hand written,it has to be from a vat registered dealer. Andy.

Jimbg, that's also what I thought he was implying, under insure & gap will cover the shortfall |

What I meant was underinsure- not intentionally but only because company x only insures up to value of 75k

With Tyrefitter’s suggestion do you not run a high risk of being not insured after theft/ accident due to a non-disclosure to the GAP insurer? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

You are still insured Tim,its just if you let your ins company know about the gap then they will try offering less than market value.Gap only makes the difference in what ins pay & invoice price. Andy.
