i did note, when selling mine recently, that the service book says that it (also a 2012) should be serviced every 16500 miles or 1 year without saying "whichever comes first". So it could easily do 16500 miles between services regardless of time. Merc C220 estate Sport AMG

Should still be done at 12 months irrespective of mileage. Mine service book defiantly says or 12 months after previous service.

Well you don't seem to have hit a problem yet. But if you sell in the future a big gap between services might impact on value. Besides, these are complex beasts and expensive to fix. I wouldn't skimp on servicing, religiously 12 months. Some do interim oil changes for variants with oil dilution issues. |

Thanks Father I being told " they only need servicing every 2 years or 20,000 miles, so if anything its been over serviced" They just make it up to sell , bad really..... |

That goes against everything L/R service schedule for the RRS1 says. If it's a main dealer I think I would look elsewhere because their talking s**t.

Absolutely no mention of 2 years or 20,000 miles in my service book in any market, in fact a big percentage actualy say 8,000 miles or six months.

Have to agree with Chris on this one, being cynical if tried for warranty repair first thing they will say, not been serviced as per manufactures specification, sorry Rejected. Also if it is a Main Dealer they are basically Lying, as they should know their own products. Cheers Col |

I have never gone to 15k, I always get it serviced at 12k ish. Not a huge difference I know, but I have always believed in oil as being the most important service component there is. |
