Well one thing is the diesel engines in the Peugeot/citroen are better than the ford engines they now fit. Andy.

IIRC the SDv6 and L320’s launch 2.7 TDv6 are PSA/Ford designed engines modified for LR offroad needs....... hence the original V6 diesel being called the Lion. The 2.7v6 was also available in the bigger Citroen’s and the bigger Peugeot saloons, some Mondeos and Jaguars. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

I’m starting to realise that after many many years of owning LR products, I will never own another...... ever. How many ex LR owners are thinking the same way as me.

I've owned them for 19 years, but last year sold my D4, I would have bought a Sport, but couldn't hack the dealers in the end - once Guava ended I knew the end was nigh. I bought a Cayenne V8 diesel instead and so far so good.

That would be funny.

My dealer just dropped JLR for PSA Mr. Green '08 RRS TDV8
I converted my diesel RRS to run on an environmentally friendly mixture of caribou fat and baby seals oil

Ford and PSA jointly developed some engines, and ford use some PSA engines. EG- the PSA HDI engine in cars like the Peugeot 406 is the same engine in the Mondeo TDCI. Unfortunately pal there is no longer any positives for you. Your car is probably currently worth £15k less than you paid for it. The 3.0 SDV6/TDV6 wasn’t designed as a 4x4 off road engine, it’s “modified”. It’s now apparent it’s not happy spending its life pulling 2.5tons of car and that’s before carvans/huge of road hills/tons of”gear”.

Cut the ties, make a stand and let’s get the quality we deserve for the price we are paying.

When you’re paying pence for a car, you can only lose pennies no frustration here. Although they do take the Censored in the office even though they have all taken it for a drive lol. Even the boss of a rather large hedge fund, he suggested we start selling an experience where you live in a council estate and drive a Skoda lol. It would work but safety is too much of a concern and local police want to much to police it to make any profit.

Pennies...ffs Rolling Eyes 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I meant the Skoda, I paid nothing for the Skoda so I’ll lose nothing.

Of course he did. Yep. Believable. Lots.

Apart from the fact that near 40 years of right to buy means much of these "Council" estates as built are significantly now no longer filled with tenants as a result and in many places actually now majority owner occupied, this sort of comment from you is gratuitously offensive, ignorant and ill informed.

Personally, I am proud to have lived in a Council house. And I can assure you that criminality amd poverty are not simply a matter for "Council" tenants.

Kindly consider withdrawing or apologising for being so offensive.

I grew up on a council estate, one of the biggest council estates in Europe “The Bromford” in Birmingham. Then to council housing in Aston. Criminality in some areas provided police statistics won’t be down to a certain group of tenants.

But more deprived areas do suffer with higher crime rates for many reasons. Climate change caused by big diese/petrol engines cars is far more offensive and effects far more people.

I would ask you to respect the next generations future and leave them a planet they can live on, by not driving a large Deilsiel engined car. High horses and moral high grounds are available to everyone, any can be offended by anything they choose. Glass houses ect.
