2015 SDv8 Autobiog, 24,000 miles.
Gear shifts have until recently been normal....smooth, broadly unnoticeable and as I would have expected.
However, in the past 2,500 miles it has developed a bit of an abrupt shift, mainly on automatic downshifts (such as slowing for a toll booth / roundabout) and it feels out of character. On the way ‘up’ through the box, it seems ok mostly but it can seem to pause between ratios.
The abrupt shift on the down reminds me of an old fashioned automatic. Also, it can seem slow to creep (in traffic). Say it normally used to creep along at ??10 mph; now it sometimes creeps at 3-4mph which is noticeably slower than before. Annoyingly, this is hard to replicate and not always the case. I think it is more common when the transmission is warm, but that could be imagination as it doesn’t always happen.
I have read about flushing the auto box, i have also wondered if the ATF level is low.
Any thoughts or comments very welcome. ... Land Rover addict

Shift quality can be much improved by a fluid change. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.
