Yes a pleasure to be the next owner, probably a close second to police cars & camouflage is nicer than stipes with holes on the roof.

To be fair, I bought an ex Essex police XC70 with 145k on the clock for about 50% of what other XC70s of similar vintage were going for. Its tatty as in some small dents and scratches, does have some additional holes (roof rack/passenger mirror) but OTH its police spec (suspension, brakes, ECU) and it was serviced every 9000 miles with whatever needed replaced. 100% reliable in the 18 months, 20k+ miles I've had it.

Not sure I'd make a profit on it if I were to sell it now without tidying it up a lot but then I bought it as a load lugging car to bash the M4 cheaply.

@above

I don’t get your comment? But please, continue to enjoy your A-Team role play but it’s now 2019.

"television series that ran on NBC from 1983 to 1987 about former members of a fictitious United States Army Special Forces unit"

You bought an Ex army car didnt you hence the A-team reference ?

Bad joke obviously, but i thought you would understand a bad joke considering you bought a skoda ?

Entertaining thread.

I totally understand if people want to be thrifty and can appreciate the satisfaction but if that is what motivates you why would you buy a luxury vehicle that epitomises excess in so many ways.

If I won the Euromillions I would have three cars and one would be a Range Rover Sport (Oh Wow, I already have one. How luck are we!) it puts a smile on my face and is a sheer pleasure to drive.

Depreciation is a cost, these cars are great but cheapness has never been one of their virtues.

You pays your money and takes your choice!
