Goodbye Landrover

Well after having 2 Freelanders and 3 Range Rover Sports I have finally decided to buy something different.

The cost of replacing my RRSports has increased so much each time and with all the reliability issues and the worry of a snapped crankshaft was the final straw. Shocked

Will be sorry to say goodbye to my 2016 RRSport as I have enjoyed driving them all. Crying or Very sad

I have opted for a BMW X4 M40d, still an SUV but coupe style, need the height to help with getting in and out as now in my 70s Laughing

Time will tell if I have made the right decision but on test drives with various SUVs this one came out tops. Arrived - RRSport 2016 HSE SDV6 HSE
Loire Blue/Ivory leather Privacy Glass

Gone - RRSPORT 2010 TDV6 HSE
Stornaway/Ebony Premium leather with Lunar stitching, Heated Steering Wheel and Privacy Glass.

Gone - RRSPORT TDV6 HSE
Buckingham Blue/Ivory, Privacy Glass, Tasmods Sills, Supercharged Black Badges all round, Grille & Vents, plus RRSport Sticker & Brolly of course.

Wish you well with your new choice,
fully understand your decision reasons,
but all marques have their issues, lets
hope the little BMW does all you need..

Good luck.. ===========================================

You may have moved on from JLR, but please stay on the Forum and keep us updated on the BMW. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Rimini Red

I have an 55 RRSS and an old 01 X5 4.4 and as luxurious as the rr is, the X5 still is my favourite of the two.
It feels more like a high up car than a massive boat on the road in my opinion..

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

No need to stop coming here Rich, there is the Off Topic Other Cars section to use instead of the main forum. Also this forum is so much more rounded than the Mini forum I joined, at least here you can have a laugh about things non Land Rover.
BTW, you changed for the same reasons as I did.............
Good luck with the new car when it arrives, changing marques for a break was a real eye opener for me after 30 years of LR owning, even my local JLR dealership who are among the best in the UK for customer service cannot match my local BMW/Mini dealership on that front. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW
