@Tyrefitter

No offence mate but I pay 4 staff between £11k and £18k, maybe instead of being a 1 man band losing £12k a year on a car with no holidays for the family. Why not employ someone for £12k a year? I guess you’re no Einstein?lol

Hey I’m sure the kids an wife are happy seeing you lose £12k a year on a car whilst they look through holiday websites imagining what if lol. Enjoy that car pal! Honestly without morons like him (tyrefitter)JLR would be screwed.

Is this the first car you bought in your life? '08 RRS TDV8

If I was so concerned about depreciation and cost, I would buy a 9+ year old Nissan Micra, it would run for ever and cost nothing.
Range rovers are notorious for been expensive to own and run.
But different people have different vices.
One of the most wealthy people I know, drives around in a £500 motor.
It is no secret, range rovers eat, drink and live expense. So don't complain when your out of pocket. MY12 RRS HSE

Not sure your staff are going to afford holidays being paid £11k a year in London, not exactly overpaid are they.

Cheers

I can't imagine that I am alone in finding the tone of this post regretful.
Andy has been on this forum for some years and is always free with his welcome advice regarding tyres and valeting. We all chose how we spend our money and decide our priorities, and I for one don't feel it's my place to critisise another members.
I trust that you were not deliberately intending your post to be insulting, we are all JLR owners after all, and would hope that you may reflect on how it may be viewed.

First of all the wife’s not that bothered about weeks away,,we do get the odd long weekend away & im not going to get a qualified mechanic/mot tester under 20k a year,,I used to employ people & believe me it was more stress than anything,,guys on holiday at peek times, calling in sick when we are busy.Since I’ve been on my own the wife says my attitude has changed & im less stressed when I come home from work.I can also finish when I want like if I’m not too busy I go home early,I finish at 12 on a Friday so I get a long weekend every weekend & by the way I’m no moron,,I’m quite happy the way things workout for me & so is the wife. Andy.

Ow forgot to mention your first post on here about losing money on the so called hunks of junk,,(so who is the moron)obviously you didn’t do your homework first before buying one because if you did you would have known they loose money like nothing else.I will admit I might have lost about 100k in LR products in 12 years but I like the products even if they do have problems & I will buy another when I get fed up of this one or feel like a change. Andy.

2 golden rules.

1. Before buying any car look at future valuations. If you can't stand the loss then don't buy the car or cry about it later.

2. Don't slag or troll other posters. It isn't necessary, big, or clever.

Andy my friend.....Don't let this guy get under your skin/wind you up, it's not worth it. Life is too short. Earn a living how you want, I dare not post on here what I did for a living.

I've just read this thread and find it a little odd why someone would come on here expecting help and advice and then completely alienate himself Confused

If you need assistance, it should be common sense to be courteous and polite. If you you make personal insults, no one is going to want to help you. And you certainly don't need to be Einstein to work that out Whistle

Also, it shouldn't take Einstein to work out that new cars depreciate in value Confused It's amusing that someone needs to join a forum and complain about it Laughing Kev
