^ Everytime I change mine I say that’s it I’m not buying another give it 16-18 month & I’ll be purchasing my 8th RRS ..The way I look at it is we never go on expensive holidays with me having a business & im a one man band I cannot close up for a week or 2 so we spend/lose 12k ish a year on a newer motor. Andy.

No offence mate but I pay 4 staff between £11k and £18k, maybe instead of being a 1 man band losing £12k a year on a car with no holidays for the family. Why not employ someone for £12k a year? I guess you’re no Einstein?lol

If I was so concerned about depreciation and cost, I would buy a 9+ year old Nissan Micra, it would run for ever and cost nothing.

Not sure your staff are going to afford holidays being paid £11k a year in London, not exactly overpaid are they.

I can't imagine that I am alone in finding the tone of this post regretful. Andy has been on this forum for some years and is always free with his welcome advice regarding tyres and valeting. We all chose how we spend our money and decide our priorities, and I for one don't feel it's my place to critisise another members. I trust that you were not deliberately intending your post to be insulting, we are all JLR owners after all, and would hope that you may reflect on how it may be viewed. |

First of all the wife’s not that bothered about weeks away,,we do get the odd long weekend away & im not going to get a qualified mechanic/mot tester under 20k a year,,I used to employ people & believe me it was more stress than anything,,guys on holiday at peek times, calling in sick when we are busy.Since I’ve been on my own the wife says my attitude has changed & im less stressed when I come home from work.I can also finish when I want like if I’m not too busy I go home early,I finish at 12 on a Friday so I get a long weekend every weekend & by the way I’m no moron,,I’m quite happy the way things workout for me & so is the wife. Ow forgot to mention your first post on here about losing money on the so called hunks of junk,,(so who is the moron)obviously you didn’t do your homework first before buying one because if you did you would have known they loose money like nothing else.I will admit I might have lost about 100k in LR products in 12 years but I like the products even if they do have problems & I will buy another when I get fed up of this one or feel like a change. Andy.

Andy my friend.....Don't let this guy get under your skin/wind you up, it's not worth it. Life is too short. Earn a living how you want, I dare not post on here what I did for a living.

I've just read this thread and find it a little odd why someone would come on here expecting help and advice and then completely alienate himself
