Hi Greg,

Afraid the guy didn’t know a specific ref number for the update - the only thing I can see on the invoice is WIP number 13282.

Presumably you can ask your dealership simply to update your “gearbox ECU and PCM” to the latest software?

I’m having my DMS remap reinstalled today.

Thanks Greg - to be honest I didn’t have a problem with the gearbox - it’s an amazing automatic - but it’s purely the “roundabout fear” I’m trying to eliminate.

Had the engine ECU DMS remap reinstalled yesterday - apparently it’s a completely bespoke ECU map for my car which some bloke in Southampton was writing as the other guy sat and downloaded it into my car at home - will report back but I’m hoping there’ll be a noticeable difference now it’s all been updated.

How is the DMS map on the SDV6? Had them do previous cars and looking at letting them do my Sport.

I’ve written previuaouoy about the DMS remap - and I have to say, having driven for an hour or so today (having temporarily lost the remap), it transforms the car. It is now genuinely quick and the gearbox remap has helped too.

Still has the annoying “roundabout hesitation” but it’s definitely improved, and beyond 2500 RPM it’s really a lot faster than before the remap.

Haven’t really bothered looking at MPG as have been enjoying the extra power but if I go very carefully I can get 40 on a motorway run.

Highly recommended - they also come back and remap the car if it gets wiped by a dealer.

Bit the bullet and DMS did my MY17 today, initial impression is it's noticeably quicker, will wait until the gear box adapts to the new power before giving a full judgement.
