Parking Sensors

I have started getting the Cameras Not Available warning starting the car.

Checked the falts using the IID tool and it shows that there is no signal from any of the rear sensors.

I have tried changing the module but that comes up with the same errors adn also when checking the ECU info it shows a different VIN no. (probably the original vehicle), does this need updating to the new VIN and if so how?

Is this likely to be a sensor issue?

I have tried checking the distance on the live values but this just shows a constant 2.5m.

Any help woould be greatly appreciated.

Can you post the DTC?

Is it an issue with the cameras or the sensors?

The rear sensors communicate the signals to the Camera module over the Medium speed CAN so if you have sensors not working and cameras not working it sounds like separate faults. If the sensors aren’t working you would lose the overlay on the reversing image with an icon at the top with a line through it.

The Vin on the module should have no effect as I have a 2014 FFRR module in mine. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

The sensor fault takes out the camera. If I disable the parking sensors in the ccf the camera works fine. 2016 Black SDV8 Autobiography

This is the fault data with the new module:

I’ll take a look at the codes tonight. It appears it’s on the bus as it’s picking it up. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

• B1B44-01 (2F) Rear right outer sensor - General failure information - general electrical failure
( on 19-08-2013 20:56:13 at 0 km )

Wiring harness fault
Rear Right Outer Sensor - Component internal failure

Refer to electrical wiring diagrams and check the rear bumper harness for damage/corrosion. Check sensor circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit. Repair or replace any wiring harness as required
Check the connector for integrity and damage, then reconnect sensor to confirm connection
Using the manufacturers approved diagnostic system clear the DTC and run the on demand self test If the problem persists remove the suspect sensor from the bumper. Inspect the sensor connector for signs of water ingress/corrosion. Exchange the suspect sensor with another sensor within the bumper that is not reporting a fault. Clear the DTC and run the on demand self test to confirm if the fault code now appears for the new position of the suspect sensor. Renew the faulty sensor

Same as above

No DTC U3002-81 listed but I suspect it to be U3002-81 which is below. I wouldn't worry about it but as the fault doesn't look to be module, I would put the original back on.

VIN Mismatch, stored VIN does not match broadcast VIN

Using the manufacturers approved diagnostic system clear the DTC, cycle the ignition off, then on, and check if the DTC
is still logged If the DTC is still logged replace the parking aid control module.

It looks like it could well be your wiring loom. It could be worth doing a resistance check and carefully checking each wire. Check the connectors that are common to all 4 sensors, just 2 wires are common so a pretty easy check.

Thanks, that helped a lot.

There was a corroded Brown in the loom. So chopped out and a new piece put in and all is good now.

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Sumatra Black

Good morning all

I seem to have exactly the same faults with the loud bleep on start up, 6 flashes from the parking aid button and cameras not available warning on the main screen, see screen grab from my GAP IID and listed below

B1B44-01 (2F) Rear right outer sensor - General failure information - general electrical failure
B1B46-01 (2F) Rear right inner sensor - General failure information - general electrical failure
B1B48-01 (2F) Rear left outer sensor - General failure information - general electrical failure
B1B50-01 (2F) Rear left inner sensor - General failure information - general electrical failure

Can anyone guide me as to what the route cause is?

Is it just a problem with the rear parking sensor wiring loom or could it be a parking sensor failed and or the parking aid module.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards

Ian.
