So the early hours this morning & my car alarm goes off,so I try turning it off from in the bedroom & it won’t lock it & just makes a sound like a door is open,,I thought well I ain’t going outside just in case,,upon looking at the camera facing the side of the car the boot lid doesn’t look closed properly so I replay the cctv & as I turn the alarm off the boot lid opens about 3-4” then stops,,so I open the boot with remote then close it & car locks but their is no sign of anyone araound the car on any camera.apart from one camera which looks like someone shining a torch,,how do I upload a video on here so show what happens.?

Well I’ve just been out to check on car & reason alarm went off was my dashcam had come unstuck & was just hanging by the wire,,but why would the boot lid open a little.? Andy.

Now you know it was locked & alarmed despite in control. Maybe you hit the boot open button by mistake. I did that once thought I was locking it, came out later to open boot |

No I didn't hit the boot button because the boot went up just after turning alarm off & why would it only go up about 3-4 inches,,surely if I caught the button by mistake the boot would fully open.Like you say on the plus side I now know the alarm works. Andy.

You have to pay to keep them after 3 years. It’s about £30 for incontrol and nearer £250 for secure. I think I’ll pay for the former but not the latter when the time comes. RRS MY17 SDV6 AB
