Hardwired mine via the interior light,, a lot easier than trying to fish cables down to Fuse boxes. I bought a 12V to 5V converter which takes the place of the cigarette lighter plug ( this normally houses the converter) then used the green and white wire in the light which is a switched live. Plenty room for everything behind the light, dashcam switches on when the doors are unlocked and turns off 10 secs after locking. 2010 RRS, TDV8

Are you wanting to wire it so that a parking mode is available? If so, I'm sure you know that you will need a permanent live as well as switched one. I installed my Thinkware myself using the fuse box behind the glove box, but mine is a L320. I used a bolt near by the fuse box for the earth, and a couple of fused piggy-back connectors although I cant remember which fuse positions I used I used. I'm sure someone on here did a how to with pictures. |

What is this switch symbol you are on about Eaters.? I was just going to wire mine so it worked off the ignition as the parking mode seems to flatten the stop start battery,,well is has on my last 2 L494's. Andy.

See in the pic, fuse 47. I think I'm correct in saying that the symbol to the right of the "15A" and below the "3" is an electronics symbol for a switch. Could be wrong but that's what I meant.

You could try fuse No.28 (Sunroof) on the RRS2 for a permanent live, I think No. 47 is passengers electric seat on the RRS2, as No.47 is sunroof on the Facelift RRS1, also that Icon is for a Auxiliary power socket on the RRS1 and Fuse No 47 on the pre-facelift RRS1 is the boot space Aux Power Socket. Unfortunately the Fuse Layout Numbers on the RRS2 appear to be totally different to both RRS1 variants.

Well I’ve tried wiring it your way col & when I’ve turned the ignition off & waited a few minutes till everything goes off the camera still stays on,,also I’m guessing the red is permanent live & yellow is ignition.Ive even tried a few different fuses but still not right. Andy.
