It’s the 2.0 litre engines it’s a software update though if your in an evoke might need tyres as well 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current

That software update will probably increase ADblue consumption by 50%. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

Petrol engines don’t (yet) have Adblu and the news states it is mostly 2ltr petrol engines so there is a potential hit for the few 2.0 RRS’s and all post 2017MY P400e FFRR’s and RRS. I wonder if it is the diesels that need the hardware change and the petrols that need the software.......... could oil dilution be part of the issue. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

the issue is LR specification of C02 limits are over optimistic and seems they cant back them up
so its back to the drawing board.

Possible fixes (also know as cheats)
As stated increase the adblue usage
Lower the idle speed
Tweak/enable stop start so that it will work when the engine is cold.

Apparently its a voluntary recall, however it will be implemented when the vehicle is next serviced.  In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.
