For all you spanner wielding chaps. Halfords advanced 150 piece Socket & Ratchet set now half price £135 but type in SOCKET20 to get another 20% off bringing it down to £108. Top quality & a genuine lifetime guarantee Thumbs Up

Ireland 2012 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Sumatra Black

if i'm buying planned tools... i usually stick to robust brand, King Tony etc heavy duty

if i'm stuck on a sunday morning (as i was 2 weekends ago).... i have been known to buy a couple of halfords sockets Laughing

to be fair, i've never had any issue with them
and i did notice the lifetime warranty notice when i bought a few items 2 weeks ago.

But ive only used the smaller sizes and never over 3/8 drive size.

has anyone ever actioned a replacement under the lifetime warranty? 2007 TDV6 RRS HSE..now gone

I got this info from the Porsche forum as I also have a 911 & a few people there have returned broken items & had no quibble replacements even without proof of purchase. You cant say better than that. They also say the sockets are first class

I have the Halfords ratchet spanner set and it is decent kit. It might not have a brand name on it but then it doesn't have a brand name price tag either.

I also have the Halfords 3 tonne trolley jack. Again decent kit. Indeed, it looks very much the same as the £90 heavy duty version from SGS.

If I needed a good set of spanners/sockets covering most sizes, one of the Halfords kits would be on my list to look at. Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

No issues from me. have used Halfords pro as my main spanners / sockets for nearly 10 years. took a long breaker bar back last year and replaced with a new version no questions asked.
