Yep it is a programmable door opener. It can capture the codes from most gate/door/light remotes and then you don't need the remote. It is built into the rear view mirror. I think it can store three different buttons. MY16 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography in Aleutian silver, stealth pack and toys.

had the Homelink on our last RRS and found it great, as said ^^ can copy 3 remotes, we used 2 for the lights on the garage and garden path steps, turns them on as we approached the drive, never managed to remember which was which though

As above ALA for gap insurance, a fraction of what the dealers charge even with their "discount". From memory I was in the two hundreds for my last one

Please don't take this the wrong way it's not meant to be confrontational, but why after all the negative posts on the diesel have you decided to return to one?

It might help other people who have been thinking of going the other way, me included, does the fuel consumption get tiring after a while?

Nothing to do with the fuel consumption Gav,i know I said id never go back to a diesel but if I keep this sc any longer I can see myself with no licence as its too tempting to exceed the speed limits most of the time & im after a car with a towbar & this one cam up with the spec ive always wanted & its only cost me 2k to go a year newer.Also its the colour black,,everytime I wash it their seems to be another mark on the paintwork.Dont get me wrong its a nice car but I change them pretty often & to go into a newer sc id be looking at 10k plus.Plus the dealer is giving me it in writing that they will cover the crankshaft issue,as for the oil dilution ill change the oil regular as I have my own workshop. Andy.

Ok thanks for that, hadn't thought about the license losing aspect, ever since test driving a early 5.0 litre in 2013 I have hankered one but sensible head and towing trailers and caravans have put me off.

Here’s a few pics on my new one,,theiris a couple of paint chips they have tried touching up & made a balls up so I’ll speak to them to get them sorted or they can get chips away to come to me,,the paint they have used doesn’t even match mine

This is the reply I got from dealer in a email

Hi Andy,

I will have a look at this on Friday for you. As you can appreciated whilst we endeavour for our vehicles to be in the highest of condition, an approved used vehicle which has covered circa 50,000 miles will not be in the same condition as a new vehicle.

However when you come in on Friday I will get our preparation team to take a look at this and see if there is anything that can be done to improve the touch ins and condition of the vehicle all round!

I understand its not going to be like new but the touchup paint they used is cream not white,,a lad up rd from me called in this morning & said who touched it up a 5 year old.I expect the odd mark but these stand out from 10 feet away.Look at it fri because it needs sorting,,the lad up rd from me said he can sort it for £200,,i don't know who you use but when I bought the SC from Hatfields it needed the front panel painting because of paint peeling & when I picked it up you couldn't tell it had been painted. Andy.
