I called LR York about a 65 plate SDV8 & they were askng £49,852 so I asked them how much to change & he came back with £11500 & mine & he said that's giving you 40k for yours,,,,i said how do you work that out,you sent me a email with yours priced at £49,852 arr he said ours went up in price at 3am this morning To which I replied yours should have come down in price as its beginning of month,,he replied that's out of his hands to which I replied goodbye & put the fone down. Andy.

If he had any common sense he would have just said £11500 plus yours with no mention of £40k

I also mentioned another deale had one in with 2000 less miles & a towbar for less money,,he said he cannot do anything about that car as its not in their stock,,i thought anything on LR Approved site any dealer could get.

Am I missing something or has the function for valuing your own car disappeared from the approved site as last time I valued mine it was about 43k for them to buy off me,,have they removed it so they can now give us less for our px's. Andy.

Not sure you are right about people wanting large SUV's with petrol.
Used buyers are worried more about running costs than saving the planet.

I wonder if Tyrefitter is right, at the 3year service and 1st MOT at the main dealer , in January, I asked them to value my 16 myHSE 3ltr Diesel with 20,500 odd miles, with £10,000 worth of extras, the salesman said £31,000 and they would market it at £39,000, I have searched the interned and not found one with that mileage and spec: Perhaps they didnt want it, but they had very little stock.

Just leave it with them,

£7k plus mine, phone me when you want to do a deal


after we had bought ours, had a couple of dealers phone back with a "are you still interested in the RRS?"

made me feel happy saying
