Hello all,
I have noticed that the RRS gets quite messy from the wheel splash
up the sides, and rear lower panels, would a set of mud flaps front
and rear help with this?
are they a good or bad idea??

Personal opinion, Front's yes, Cosmetically Rear's no, just look a total after though and crap from rear of vehicle, practically not sure rears made any real difference anyway, you will also need specific one's for rear on A/B due to bumper shape, front all the same on RRS1.

My car has rear mudflaps as standard (is law here). I have added a set to the front and they do keep the sides of the front cleaner than before.

I got a repro set off Ebay and they match the quality of the originals on the back.

I think they improve the look of the car but they are useless at keeping dirt off the sides.

i actually think looks better also.

definitely keeps car cleaner on the front sides anyway.

depends on what tyres you are running also.
when i have the M+S tyres on during cold winter months, the dirt lift is much more 2007 TDV6 RRS HSE..now gone

and I am still undecided, also the requirement
for specific ones for the back makes it a little too
expensive to get them and try, and just ignore if I
don't like..

Cheapest rears are about £65

There are quite a few on ebay and much cheaper than your price - the fronts I got got are equal to the quality of the originals. 07MY RRS TDV6

The problem is fleabay list them to fit all 2005-2013 Sports, but they don't, the 10-13 Autobiography rear's are different due to the shape of the bumper (VPLSP0015) although I believe you can "bodge" the standard flaps (VPLSP0016) on to the A/B if you wished guess it depends on what the individuals standards are. I imagine the price mentioned is for genuine L/R one's which should at least fit correctly. For some reason L/R never did rear flaps for the old HST either.

I took my car in for a service today at my local dealer and none of the new or secondhand Range Rover Sports had mudflaps - not one. I guess we don't like mudflaps (or splash guards), but then its a 4WD and supposed to get dirty.

Mine is more of a Chelsea Tractor..

Grass verges, and potholes are my
Biggest concern, and the odd kerb
Being mounted to let emergency services past.
