If only there was some way to store configuration data? A File for Car Configuration? Nah, that doesn't sound catchy enough. Perhaps a Car Configuration File in which details could be stored and modified, and that could tell various bits of software about the configuration of the car.

My 2012 doesn't have the rear locker and doesn't show any lock symbol, green or otherwise, over the rear axle. It's possible there were different versions of the display graphics/software around back then of course. This is Land Rover, after all! Rolling with laughter

I have the wiring in place but no module or diff so I wonder if the lock symbol is present with those that had the wiring just in case.

The original RRS (and the facelifted one) had complete looms fitted. The loom had every wire and connector in place even if the item wasn't fitted at the end of the wire. The only thing one needs in order to fit the rear locking diff to one of these models, is the diff itself, some wiring to connect diff to loom, new rear driveshafts (unless you are doing it to the TDV8 which already has the uprated shafts as standard) and changes to the CCF. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

They aren't part of the main loom though, they're a separate system. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
