Does anyone know if you can replace the parking button on top of the gear stick? Ive looked a very nice car today and the only issue I have is the parking brake button is worn. can it be replaced or can you cover it up with something????

If it's a L494 sport your talking about with the P button on the gear lever then YES you can just buy this button on its own from your local dealer

Think it's less then £10 too, to be honest good to buy another spare too. I changed one when I bought my first L494 sport 2014 HSE dynamic which when I bought it, it had the same issue a little bit worn off it.
It drove me crazy till I found I could buy this little button, it looks amazing again once you change It
To remove the button get something plastic so you don't mark anything and just prise it out from one side and it will just pop out

Yes its on a L494 2014 HSE dynamic. I can't explain how tidy the whole car is. Its amazing, but the worn park button just stood out like a sorn thumb.

Its one of those things which you hate looking at when its worn away drives me mad, least for now you can still get this button

Remember when I bought my first L494 it had a little wear on this button, I asked the service desk and they said no it's a complete selector but I spoke to the parts department and he said yea no worries we can get this button separately, less then £10 !!

Always ask the parts department yourself that's for sure

there's a way to never use the P button: when you arrive at your destination, pull the handbrake lever and then switch off the car  --
