Dog owners - have you tinted your windows?

Hi all,

Have you tinted your windows for your pets and do you think it makes a difference.

I’m toying with the idea of removing our tints purely for aesthetics but I’m conscious of my 2 dogs for when the sunny days return.

Thoughts please.

Steve. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.

This may sound odd, but I bought a new sport which had tinted windows, & my two dogs hated it. It was so bad I had to fight then to get them in the car, whereas before they couldn't wait to get in. When I changed the car to non tints & they reverted straight back to getting in the car at the slightest chance. current 2015 hse dynamic, grey.

My TDV8 had aftermarket, very dark, tints on it (previous owner had it done). Current one has factory "privacy glass". Both are cooler for the dogs and, more importantly perhaps, make it difficult for someone to see the dogs in the boot. There are people who steal dogs from vehicles so anything that makes it less obvious that they're in there is a good thing. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

We’ve always used removable sunshades on the tailgate and rearmost side windows to keep the dog cooler and out of sight. We leave them on most of the time but at least have the flexibility to remove them if we want to. You can still get them for the L320 if you look online. Current: 2020 P400e HSE Dynamic

My windows are tinted.

We have two dogs, one is a lab cross and she is 3 and the boy lab is 19 weeks.

We travelled down from Hull to Widemouth bay, and the dogs were really settled. A lot better than I expected

Had a D2 without tinted windows in the back before, and the dogs did not settle as well as they did at new year.

Think it will depend on the dog personally. But it certainly cuts down on heat
