Ive never had any problems with them in the past,,apart from last year when mine was booked in for a service & they called me a few days before it was due & told me they hadn't got any oil for it & wont be getting any for 4-5 weeks,,by this time I would have gone over my service schedule so I took it to York for them 2 service it. Andy.

My drivers door one fell off just before Christmas....went back to the car wash and the good chaps kept it for me - thankfully not scratched - this car is never short of surprises.... MY16, 3.0D HSE Dynamic, Barola Black, TV, Rear Entertainment, Opening Pan Roof, Meridian

take care, once it falls off at the carwash, it falls off at every carwash, as the cap lost its tough connection to the mount.

Also a new cap docent fit that strong as they should after it fell off, I assume the conection rubber lost its flexibility and therefore it could only fit as new, once LR replaces the full mount of the Door/Handle.

I just put a bit silicone underneath and the problem is solved...

I put some superglue on mine to make sure it doesn't drop off next time I go near it with powerwash..The dealer did mention I should also replace the backing plate but seeing as I was paying I just got the cap. Andy.

Hello all
Had also this problem with the cap
I took a hairdryer and warmed up the cap until it got really warm, pressed it so that the open side was a little bit tighter. Put it on the door handle - finish.
Now, it holds that good, that I can't move it on the handle.

Another known fault that LR don't want to fix under Approved warranty.Does the approved warranty actually cover anything.? Andy.
