Mine still passed without the valves bolted to the engine |

Ok cool look forward to getting mine then, I know the advantages of blanking them off but are you noticing any difference i.e. performance and economy?

Nope. You’ll only notice a difference if they are faulty |

I’ve had them fitted in early December (as I have with all my diesels). I had fitted the blanks that leave the valves in place so it’s future proof to the casual eye. I had no problems with my EGR but I don’t like the thought of it breathing it’s own exhaust. The indie that fitted them took the trunking apart that the EGRs connect to and said it was a little gummed and suggested I use branded fuels; after I told them I exclusively used Morrison’s.

I have fitted blanking plates before to other vehicles ive owned and will do it to my RRS for peace of mind to know that its clean air going in and shes breathing lovely. Was just curious about the new MOT rules that came in last year with regards to EGR an wondered if other RRS were failing on emissions due to the blanking plates but by the sound of things all good with fitting them.

Just went and checked .... in my layman terms the blanks are about halfway back from the front of the engine and about 8 inches down. If that helps lol |

OK thanks, haven't had a look yet where the EGR valves are but from experience of other cars that sounds about where the EGR valves are

Another vote for blanking them. First job I did when I got mine. No issues at all. |
