Anyone used the TDI-Tuning box ?

Would like to have my car remapped but due to warranty I'm not keen on the idea of having my Ecu removed and opened up.
I've heard stories of tuning boxes just fooling the Ecu in to thinking its running standard fuel and boost but then upping these to get the power but not changing the important details the Ecu need to run the engine safety.

Anyone know if this is true and are the TDI-Tuning boxes the same or a good version of these type of power upgrade boxes ? 2017 SVR. SVO Scafell grey Ebony interior

They do work buy they are not ideal they do fool the ecu but some of them are absolute Censored so be careful running a box on my gt Renault as its only a cheapo back and forth work makes a difference to power but fuel consumption is a few miles per gallon worse my Disco3 had one on to but that was not as good every now and again from low revs and full throttle it would go iton limp mode dip of clutch and it would come back to life Thumbs Up

They do work, but remove any safety parameters within the ECU. Use them at your own risk...

Sounds like a stay clear job and wait for warranty to run out then. 2017 SVR. SVO Scafell grey Ebony interior

I can understand reluctance to have your ecu out and opened. All I can say is that is the process on my SDV6 MY 2012 and Alive did mine 3 years/50k miles ago with no problems at all.
