TOP GEAR RS4

Having lived in Audis for some time it was great to see JC finally admit that Audi have built a car that exceeds all expectations & finally takes the crown from the ever popular BMW M3

HOW GOOD IS THIS CAR Cool

There were many people within my family who also watched it ...... thinking they know me.... and all saying " That will be Martin off to Audi to order his next car "

But ...... and thats a big BUT , I love my RRS Supercharged. If I hanged it would have to be the Avant version which doesnt come out until mid next year and then when you add all the options in...... hey presto your paying £60k for an A4 Shocked

Confused

I know its a liitle of topic and not very legal.
Watched a copy dd of Clarkson Heaven and Hell at the weekend, it features the Supercharged which he rated very highly. He also performed a Clarkson style test on it, 1 gallon of petrol to see how many miles it would get. Would you believe it conked out at Eight miles, albeit on the track at full chat.
He summed up to say that if you wanted a sport you would be better going for its big brother with more presence and stately.
Not me Im happy with my sport and every time me and the kids see one we have a little joke going that makes us giggle. Its out there somewhere. Second V10 Treg on the drive at the moment.

I seem to remember that Clarkson wasn't keen on the RRS diesel. He said something like Why get your grandma to do a pole dance for you when you could get some pretty girl to. I would love the exact quote as I remember it was funnier than my attempted quote. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I think it was something along the lines of "i won't go to stringfellows tonight, I'll get my mum to give me a lapdance.... she's a woman!"... there are some good other quotes in that piece - "it's a 140mph mobile phone" and the urging "BE GOOD OFF ROAD!!" Wink

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

" and it is better than a Porsche Cayenne and must do all of ......... at least 12mpg!"

I have a copy of the Sport Vs Tank downloaded on my laptop and if you watch closely after driving in cirlces round the tank and the bushes he dashes off to some sort of obstacle/mogul course and stops at the top and starts playing with the low range transfer and suspension which he raises to offraod height - which meant that all before then he appears to have been done everything in high box and at normal height............... even more impressive!
If you want offroad tyres for your Sport you can now get the same ones as he used (Goodyear MTR's) for £1400 for a set on more suitable alloys (that's 4 wheels, 4 tyres, fitting balancing and carriage for that £1400) 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW
