Had a nice surprise, I booked my 2013 Black Edition RRS in for a service at my local dealership and was quoted £800.92 for the 6 year/96,000 service. During the week I was playing around on the online booking section of the Land Rover site and my service was coming out at £780.54 at the same dealership for the same service, so I sent the dealership an email asking for an explanation. Got a reply today and they said Land Rover have now introduced fixed price servicing for cars over 3 years old and the cost for my service is now £540!!! Happy days

Could have saved yourself another £250 by finding a good independent specialist...

Not round my way Mikey, the independent nearest to me but still a trip into London wanted £730.

Depending on where you are in the country,
that is much harder than you imagine..

I have 2 paces that call themselves independent specialists within a reasonable distance,

I used one with an old Freelander, and then had to fix what they had done to it myself,

The other is really an older Landrover specialist Pre 2000, mainly...

Yes they quote less,
but so will all any garage, whether or not they claim to be an independent specialist ..

I think there are many more Good Independent Specialists in the midland or further afield,
but that would rather reduce any savings I might make..

The question to be answered is..
Are the dealerships actually any better than a Good trustworthy none specialist garage?
as they are even cheaper than the Independent Specialists..

Anyone know a "Good Trustworthy Independent Specialists" in the Maidstone, Canterbury Folkestone area??

£540 from a Dealership is an exceptionally good price.. ===========================================
