JLR part supply question

Hi all,

I was under the impression that OEM's had to supply spare parts for up to 10 years after the end of production.
JLR can not get an evaporator for my 2014 RRS.
What are their options?

Yeah but at normal price, I couldnt afford that lol, be almost another £40 000 lol

They really do seam to have a problem with radiators etc. when out of production.


Get an aftermarket one.

Spoke to them today. None at factory or any where in supply chain. It's on a critical list part number LR035971

well at part number is obsolete so won't come back into production I would say, also its not recognised on the catalogue either.

I presume this is the heater evaporator they're trying to order? what's your reg I'm intrigued by this one... Sophie Alltoft

Well looks like the part will arrive in the UK on the 8th. By the time it reaches dealer and car fixed, it will have been off the road 4 weeks. Paying finance on a car I couldn't drive for a month Sad
