Same here I (like all seamen) have a 5,2 or annual medical to retain our lincence to work on ships - the frequency depends on age and incidence of things like arthritis and type2 diabetes, also we have to go to specialist medical centres, GP’s generally cannot do these medicals 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Try being bipolar: even though I am symptom-free, I have to re-apply for my license every year. By the time the process has ended, my license has expired but I get a piece of paper to say that if I think I am well enough to drive I can carry on driving until their process has finished.

My 78 yr-old mother-in-law can only just read a number-plate at 67' - with glasses.

I see he had a quiet chat from a friendly plod today forvnot wear his seatbelt......... even though he was reported to be driving on Sandringham Estate roads which I would have thought were private roads so normal rules don’t apply? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

That would've been a call to his office, and done thro' Royalty channels. Not a knock on the door by either traffic or a local guy.
This is turning into a storm, and at least one of the papers has front page headlines where the other driver with a broken wrist claims she could've been killed. 2011 MY D4 HSE

She doesn't come across too well and its all very undignified.

If private roads are open to the public then the seatbelt laws still stands,,years ago when hgv driving I was on Liverpool docks & got caught on the mobile & got 3 points & fined,,I said to the officer that I thought dock roads were private,,he explained that any road that is open to public Transport comes under same laws as all roads.
