Poll on users screen resolutions

Just wonderd what screen resolutions you're all using on your desktops ?

I ask because at work I like full sreen resolution = 1280 x 1024 but my colleagues prefer the less clear [ but bigger icons/text etc ] resolution of 1024 x 768 ....

Another reason for asking is - website layout - as this obviously affects the way a website is viewed and appears to the world

To check yours...............

close all applications - then on desktop picture - right click - properties - settings = screen resolution

For example

So as you can see in the lessor resolution [ 1024 x 768 ] you are missing half the picture - I cant understand why you wouldn't want to set your monitor to 1280 x 1024 [ or better if able to - like VA ] - everything is so much "sharper" as well ............... ok things are technically smaller - but if this is a problem ? ............ then get your eyes lasered like me

I too prefer the higher res displays... my work laptop annoys me as the LCD panel doesn't display higher than 1024x768. It's a nightmare for doing Visio diagrams on. I have the display on my home flat panel set to 1600x1200.

I've added this option to the poll as that was missing too!!
