Strange... wobbly nuts...

My 2008 RRS has odd wobbly “caps” over the wheel nuts. Does anyone know if:

A: I can fit a black “cap” instead of a battered looking metal one?
B: I could fit a set of regular wheel nuts instead?
C: Any of those plastic cover type thingummies would go over the top?

Why do they have these wobbly bits fitted anyway?

If you have black alloys you could fit these, they haven’t got the caps on them, the LR ones with the caps are a nightmare when they swell up.

As has been said, they are caps but not removable caps. They swell and are a mare, Best Buy some new nuts as these will never get better. I was pointed in the direction of a company in the US who make Titanium nuts for the sport but the price was eye watering and the postage more so. I may look again when I next go over there. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Hi,
have you tried your wheel brace on them to see if it still fits Question Rolling Eyes

sounds like time for a few new nuts or carry a socket and brace that does fit if they are swollen.
