It is running Revo 4+ with Devils Own water meths kit. Mountune fully forged engine. Forge Motorsport bigger front mount intercooler, Mountune/Milltek full exhaust system amongst many other goodies. Not to mention the one off Mclaren manufactured braking system. 6 Pot calipers at the front, 4 pot calipers at the rear. 380mm front discs, 330mm rear discs. So just a few mods. Laughing

Nephew has a FW MK2, not my thing but it’s his ‘dream car’ 20 years old when he bought it and he had to drive around with an insurance black box fitted for the first two years, even with this, his premiums were still through the roof.
Fair play to him though, he hasn’t bent it and he treats it well.
The owners club have a very good social scene and he’s made a lot of friends in his 4 years ownership.

They do hold their value extremely well, impressive residuals

Yeah it`s a very sociable scene to be fair. I went to loads of meets when I had the ST. Like you say, these cars aren`t everyone`s cup of tea but they are impressive cars. I used to think, my ST is 300 bhp, an extra 12, 14k for an RS is ridiculous......until I drove mine Thumbs Up

As far as values go.....you will never lose money on one. The prices just keep going up Wink

Your nephew did well to get one at 20, fair play Thumbs Up Steve.

He paid £20K for it 4 years ago, 33000 miles on the clock. Private sale. (59 plate)
Now has 45000 miles on it and Autotrader valuation for private sale is now... £20K!!!!!

He works away a lot, with the British Antarctic Survey, so doesn’t do a lot of miles. Has kept it completely standard apart from some fancy alarm which cost him about a grand. Cheap motoring.
