United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black
2007 tdv8 lack of power

I picked up a mates tdv8 from the garage last night and it was so sluggish
He had the aa out and scanned it and came up with maf sensors so these were replaced by the garage but it’s still the same
No smoke no faults on the dash and apparently it’s not always sluggish
Cars only done 50k
Any ideas where to look next ?

any odd noises under acceleration? Check hoses for splits and if the TDV8 has a variable turbo (I have no idea), check the servo system. Did he get the codes the AA found? 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

No nothing unusual just massively lacking power under about 40 or 50 mph, the aa codes were maf sensors and he had them
Replaced, the garage plugged it in and nothing came up , my mate owns the garage but doesn’t work there and leaves to the manager that’s been working for him for 40 years, I think he’s going to take it to Range Rover
