In my non-RRS car the first time I used ACP I had to synchronize the phone to the car using a cable connection and after that I could connect wirelessly but be warned (at least with the BMW system) from then until I forced the ACP not to connect wirelessly the system defaulted to ACP as soon as the phone was detected and connected. IE to get to DAB I had to negotiate a heap of steps in the menus to disable the ACP to avoid using data streaming radio via the iPlayer or the Tine-in app which comes up as a default broadcast receiver......... didn’t see why I should consume costly data to listen to the radio which I could receive by FM or DAB for free. I also don’t need to use Google Earth/Maps, Waze/Navimi (big data users)etc for satnav as the MAV system in my car updates automatically over the air using the built in SIM. Another issue is that living in semi remote Central Scotland mobile internet / data coverage isn’t that great and once away from a 3G signal (what is this 4G thing they talk about) then all that ACP is useful for is listening to music stored on the phone.......... 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I didn't think JLR had wireless car play? Would be nice if they did as plugging outweighs the benefits for me.

It was just some guy on the apple car play thread said he had it working. Must have been a hack. I am just glad i have ACP working. TBH it only comes on 80% of the time. I guess they have some glitches to "iron out". If JLR can't get it working on a cable then wireless is miles off. MY19 - HSE Dynamic. Black with black pack |

Apple car play mirrors features from the phone onto the in car display allowing you to use phone based mapping tools, send and receive messages and other functions.
